Patty is an experienced venture executive who has served in operational roles with venture-funded startups and as a consultant to VCs, startups and corporate venture and innovation groups. Patty’s career has focused on new category creation and technology commercialization. Patty co-founded Accelevate in 2013 with the mission of providing tools and services to accelerate time to market for corporate innovations.  Formerly a consultant with Bell Mason Group, Patty consulted to many CVC and incubation groups including AmEx, CitiGroup, Coca-Cola, DSM, Merck GHI and Philips. Patty has worked with Silicon Valley venture capital groups, providing business model and product strategy consulting, mentoring and executive development for their portfolio companies. Patty has worked with more than 100 startups on product definition and go-to-market strategies. Through her work at Peter Norton Computing and Symantec, Patty helped to create the consumer anti-virus category and managed worldwide corporate, channel and product marketing.  She was the first US marketing executive for UK-based Madge Networks, growing the company by 15X over 3 years, through IPO and acquisition by Lucent.  As VP Marketing and the first non-engineering executive at Ramp Networks, she helped create the small business internet access category and drove marketing and sales leading to Ramp’s 1999 IPO and acquisition by Nokia in 2001.  

Patty is a frequent speaker and blogger on innovation topics and leads workshops on innovation best practices and venture business model planning.  She sits on the Advisory Board for the IBF Corporate Venturing and Innovation Partnering Conference, and was an instructor and marketing mentor for CalTech’s Executive Education Entrepreneurship program. Patty holds a BA degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
