Paul has 37 years of experience helping develop specialized businesses, assembling teams, and improving operating performance of > 200 companies of all sizes across multiple sectors including energy, industrial, IT, Healthcare and internet. Paul spent 26 years at Fleet Financial Group leading origination, syndication, product development, and multi-national account strategies and raised capital in excess of $7.5B for his portfolio companies. Paul has gained expertise in capital structure investments addressing specific customer solutions in Cash Flow, Tax, Asset Management and Capital Formation specializing in fixed assets both domestically and internationally.
Paul is currently the CEO of Value Based Capital a company he founded in 2002 which performs specialized financial and business development activities to leading companies in North America. In addition Paul co-founded Corporate Venture Capital Group (CVCG) a Sunnyvale, CA and Boston, MA, based Advisory group that provides insights and analysis on strategy, technology, value proposition, financial and business management. CVCG engages with companies focused on technology commercialization, portfolio management, investment structuring and the development of syndicated strategic relationships. CVCG has deep understanding of Private Equity/Venture Capital investments and banking/leasing/junior debt market financial instruments as well as commercialization of new technology.
Paul has served as Board Member of many companies over the years. Paul received an MBA from Babson College and a BS/BA from Northeastern University.
