Toby Lewis has over 10 years in various roles in the journalism industry. Toby currently serves as the editor of Global Corporate Venturing (GCV). GCV is a media publication company that covers and reports on the international corporate venturing community’s activities. In addition to his editor responsibilities, Toby serves on the board of GCV’s parent publishing company the Mawsonia Group that also manages the Global University Venturing and the Global Government Venturing media properties.
Prior to GCV, Toby was the editor at Private Equity News, a subsidiary of Dow Jones. He was published regularly in The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswires, Financial News, Private Equity News and across the Dow Jones network. He has also written for Legal Week, Global Pensions, Real Deals, and Private Equity International in topics that range across the entire private equity sector.
Toby serves on the advisory board of IBF Corporate Venturing and Innovation Partnering Conference in Newport Beach, and was a steering committee member for Volans' report on Corporate Social Venture Capital. Toby received a BA degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of East Anglia.
